ENTREPRENEURSHIP

Story Started with a Love for Artisanal Juices

When the student first came to us, he wasn’t just struggling.. he was withdrawing. Hist GPA was low, his school attendance was inconsistent, and he described himself as “falling behind in slow motion.” He wasn’t lazy - he was lost.
Quiet, introspective, and unmotivated. The student’s parents doubted whether college consulting would even help.

But at OPUS, we saw something in him.

We saw ambition masked by silence, kindness that never asked for attention, and a surprising observational talent - especially in how he described his fascination with the vibe of unique restaurants and artisanal drinks.

We turned these “passing talents” into an entrepreneurial venture.

To differentiate him from other students with stronger transcripts, we had to go bold. We turned his sensory curiosity into an entrepreneurship angle - then placed it in the unexplored world of agroforestry tourism, a concept only starting to emerge globally.

The student began forest scavenging for wild mushrooms, combining it with sustainable farming tech and eco-tourism planning.

But the project became something more than strategy - it became healing. He described one moment in his essay: kneeling in a quiet forest, brushing away fallen leaves, discovering mushrooms thriving in decay. That moment helped him understand his own depression. The essay closed with a reflection on interconnectedness-that healing doesn’t always look dramatic, but it happens when you realize you’re not alone.

The student transformed into a wellness-inspired tourism entrepreneur, blending innovation with empathy.
